Delivery and Returns
Delivery is free for all deliveries within a 5 mile radius of the brewery (excluding those postcodes within 5 miles but north of the Firth of Forth).
Delivery is free to addresses within an 18 mile radius of the brewery if the order value is above £20 – this covers council areas of Midlothian (Edinburgh), West Lothian, Falkirk, Clackmannanshire and much of the South and West of Fife. This include postcodes which start with the following outcodes: EH1-17, EH20, EH25-30, EH47-49, EH51-55, EH91, EH95, EH99, FK1-7, FK10-14, G67-68, G70, KY2-5, KY11-13, KY99, ML6-7.
Outside of this area, we charge a £5.45 flat-rate shipping fee to all other GB Mainland addresses.
Delivery is also free to GB mainland addresses, for all orders over £40.
Rates will vary for other, non-GB mainland UK addresses (e.g. Scottish Islands, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man etc.), reflective of the shipping charges incurred by Strangers Brewing Co. when shipping to these addresses.
Once you have placed an order, you will receive an email confirming we have received it, and you will receive another email confirming that your order has been dispatched.
We try and process orders as quickly as possible, but as a small craft business, we may not be able to dispatch orders every day. We aim to process orders within 2 days (Monday to Friday), and we ship by next-day delivery, so you can usually expect to receive your order within 3-4 working days. However, please allow slightly longer during busy times of the year.
We can receive orders at any time, but we can only process orders Monday – Friday and after 10am (due to Scottish licensing laws).
All orders received by us are shipped subject to availability; if your order is not in stock, we’ll contact you and offer to either refund the order or to ship products when they are next in stock.
Please ensure there will be someone available to sign for the package when it arrives (we can deliver to places of work if you request it at the time of order).
If nobody is in when the courier attempts to deliver, then a card will be left informing you that an attempted delivery had been made. If you do not contact the courier company within a few days, the beer may be returned to us. In this situation, we will credit your account, less the delivery charge.
If you wish to return an item please contact us at the brewery by email (email@example.com) quoting your name, contact details, order number and details of the problem.
Delivery charges are only refundable where goods are faulty or the wrong goods were sent; otherwise the cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility.
Goods will only be accepted for return if they are dispatched within 14 days of delivery, unless we have notified you otherwise.
When returning goods please enclose: the receipt, and details of the reason for the return. Returned items should be unused and must be returned in original packaging with any enclosed documentation and reason for return.
If you return goods you have ordered from us for any reason we will give you a full refund of the amount paid or an exchange credit as required.
You have a right to cancel your order within 7 days in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
If you let us know before we ship your order, we will cancel the order and refund you any money.
If you change your mind within seven days of placing the order, return the unopened product and we will refund the value of the product, less any shipping costs.
