Munich dunkel is a traditional German style; dunkel means ‘dark’ in German, and it is brewed with a majority of munich-style malts. These malts, along with a mix of other caramel and dark malts, give a deep amber colour and complex flavour profile.
This beer was brewed to celebrate the life of Russet O’Sullivan, who was born in 1921 and lived to the grand old age of 102. She lived a full and happy life, and had a huge impact on those around her – including inspiring our founder to start brewing. This dark lager is like Granny; crisp and dry but with plenty of character.

Terry –
I like this; it has a lovely colour, the flavours linger. It feels like it has body. I get hints of chocolate & coffee beans. A good beer for autumn as the nights close in.
