New Shoots is named after its not-so-secret ingredient; the fresh tips from larch, spruce and pine trees, gathered in the spring and added to the beer. Young conifer tips give fresh grassy and citrus notes (as well as light piney, resinous flavours), and these align beautifully with the American hop varieties we’ve used. Wonderfully quaffable in the sunshine.

As always, delivery is free to all addresses within a 5 mile radius of the brewery, and for all orders over £40. For those within an 18 mile radius of the brewery – this covers council areas of Midlothian (Edinburgh), West Lothian, Falkirk, Clackmannanshire and much of the South and West of Fife – delivery is free for orders over £20.

Probably my favourite from Strangers, shame it’s only a seasonable brew but looking forward to it coming around again in future. Higher on the bitterness for me than similar brews, but it works and is also a real grower – I can rarely settle with just one can!
